Joanne May (National Student Chapter Committee Head) and Kirk Moss (President of ASTA) are encouraging all student chapters to consider applying to present a session at next year's ASTA National Conference that will be held in Atlanta, GA, March 21-24, 2012.
Suggested topics are listed on
astaweb.com, and your creativity is encouraged! The 2011 conference book is also available for you to see what was presented at the 2011 conference last week in Kansas City, to spark your imagination. Student session proposals will go through the same rigorous consideration as all other proposals, and students will be notified sometime in the summer of acceptance.
There's only one catch... the deadline for completed applications is midnight March 31, 2011, so you have very little time to create your ideas and prepare your session outline! Please go to the student chapter blog at

One idea a student chapter had is to present on guitar. Kyle has posted a question for you about the guitar you can comment on. You can also let people know about sessions you'd like to see presented, and get some feedback for confirmation of your ideas.
